About hospital services provided by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
This consultation is about proposed changes to two acute hospitals in Hampshire run by Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester and Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke.
In this questionnaire we refer to Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital as Basingstoke hospital and the Royal Hampshire County Hospital as Winchester Hospital.
Both hospitals currently provide a range of specialist and emergency care, and planned care (i.e., operations and procedures that are planned in advance). Some emergency and specialist services are already located at one hospital only, for example stroke care at Winchester hospital and heart attack care at Basingstoke hospital.
*Acute hospitals provide emergency and specialist support and treatment which cannot be provided outside of a hospital setting. This can include surgery, care after an accident or during the most unstable phase of an illness.
